Ball Flight
Optimal Ball Flight Chart
Each one of these ball flights can yield different carry distance based on conditions. This chart assumes there is no wind. Please note that once the ball hits the ground, each shot will act differently based on their trajectory and spin. The Red Optimal Ball Flight lines below in each chart display the desired Ball Flight (Optimal) compared to alternate flights based on launch and spin. Optimal Flight is created when the ball is hit with a High Launch Angle and Low Backspin. This combination allows the ball to travel in the air the longest amount of time while still traveling on a penetrating arc and allowing for the ball to roll once it lands.
