Smash Factor
Smash Factor is the calculation made by taking your Ball Speed and dividing it by your Club Head Speed. The higher your number, the more efficient your transfer of power to the golf ball will be. The transfer of power is maximized by hitting the ball on the sweet spot with a square clubface. This is why someone with a slower swing speed can hit the ball further than someone with a faster swing speed. The average PGA Tour players have a Smash Factor of 1.48.
