Ball Flight And Carry

In a perfect world with no friction (air, wind, humidity, etc) to affect the flight of the ball, the perfect Launch Angle would be 45 degrees to achieve maximum distance.  “See Charts Below”

Unfortunately we don’t live in that world and have to find other ways to maximize distance due to the elements.  To achieve the furthest shot possible, you must minimize the amount of Backspin your ball has as it travels off your club and create a high enough Launch Angle to generate maximum Carry Distance.  When you optimize these two elements you are on your way to longer drives.
